Sock Round-up

So still with the organizing myself for the new year I washed and inspected all my socks.  I threw one pair out right away because a huge hole appeared in the heel.  The socks were dubbed Strata and knit out of handspun I purchased from All Spun Up on etsy in ’07.  I blogged about it when I had a me.com address and all those posts are lost forever.  Even thewaybackmachine cannot find them.  Thankfully I did take pictures and post them on Ravelry so here is the last  glance of my lovely socks:

Merike Socks from Folk Socks knit in called for yarns many moons ago.  I suppose I could try and find the remnants and darn that hole near toe…

Shiny Moss Rib socks knit for Zoe then re-appropriated.  Not really full of holes yet but thread bare in several places.

and the pair that really freaked me out because the pattern is so obscure that google cannot find it anywhere: Molly’s Socks by Two Old Bags.  Long OOP these socks are about 12 yrs old.  It took me hours of combing through my files to find my copy.  Whew!

In the maybe go away pile are at least 3 pairs that are looking shabby and if I were feeling really ambitious there are 5 pairs of socks I have knit that have bitten the dust before now.  5 pairs that I clearly remember and loved not 5 pairs that were a big meh.  One actually started off my first blog and used to be my icon.  Actually it is part of my background right now.  Here is another picture of them {white socks!  so sensible 0.o}:
