Baby Love

Chibi recovered and onward ho with the knitting.  Yayness!  I was determined to not discuss work knitting on this blog but since the marriage, the move, and then the tumble down the stairs has severely hampered my knitting, both for hire and personal, I have little else to discuss at the moment.  I feel *so* behind although I was not given a time line for finishing this little sweater.  Very cute if I must say so myself.  I am knitting it for Cascade Yarns, one of my all time favorite go to yarn companies, out of their new Cherub Aran.  The interesting thing, to me, is how the formulation of Cherub has changed.  I just happen to have a partial ball of the old Cherub yarn which was, I believe, a wool and acrylic blend.  It is soft and spongy feeling~ kinda like those memory foam thingies which sound a bit gross but are oh so nice and cushy.  This yarn, on the other hand, is acrylic and nylon.  The difference is amazing.  The yarn is so silky and drapey!  I can easily imagine somebody knitting a shawl or throw out of this machine washable yarn just because of the incredible drape and sheen.

Well I am off to knit up the sleeves so that I can send this little sweater off and get back to some ideas I have perculating around the old noggin.  I am really excited about a few ideas I have and want to get this done so that I can start working on those.  On top of the usual shawl and sock knitting that fills my time.
