Socks Part 2

WOW you guys are great!

I have a real post to make about noonish but since there are questions about the raffle I will pass on my hazy thoughts now. Hazy cause I didn’t really think anybody would be willing to knit me socks so didn’t get all organized sigh. The reason I didn’t ask the socknitters for socks is cause its for my small readership. This gives a nice shot at the sweater or at least a better shot than 1000 sock knitting fiends competing against you. Time limit hmmmm how about Sept 1st to get them to me? I only need 5 so lets limit it to first 10 people to commit to knitting.** That way half can bow out and I still get enough socks and the odds will still be great. 10% at worst [hopefully 20%] is a good sporting chance isn’t it? If 10 actually come through and come through before Sept 1st I will go ahead and draw name from hat.

To up the odds that your socks will be my favorite socks in the whole wide world:Blue, Purple, Green are my favorite colors. You can look at pictures on blog and see that They don’t have to be fancy. Michelle’s Basic Socks fit my feet perfectly. I also really appreciate that they are ribbed along top of foot. I knit my socks extreemly firmly. I have a pair knit out of CTH from last year knit at recommended gauge[per tag] and they are too big and floopy and fuzzy but at 12spi they work fine. But to offset the obnoxiously firm knitting I like short cuffs. 4″ cuff is perfect. I will get my tape measure out–found where its supposed to be which just goes to show how disorganized I am–and measure the sweater and my 2 best fitting socks to give dimensions.

Be back with a real post later today–TTFN

**Of course if more than 10 people say count me in before my usual noonish posting time on Mon. I will have to come up with more raffle prizes cause I hate asking people to knit for nothing.
