The ankle nippers corrupted my hard-drive and I was sans computer for way too long. I am finally online tho my darlingest is thinking of rewiring so maybe not totally online yet. And the camara is on its way. I have been making noises about pruning the stash as I unpack it and my husband will have to find the cam. cords for that if nothing else.
Have I been knitting? Well sure I have. I finished the tank[did I mention that already?] and wore it yesterday. I am thinking of ripping the thing and making something else with the yarn. It falls off my shoulders and is real drapey. Drape is good but I feel like I am wearing a muu muu. The fear that it would cling was all for naught. Of course watching ‘What Not to Wear’ has me thinking a bit more form fitting and short. Not that I am slender by any definition. Well maybe in the sumu wrestling sense I am a light weight but otherwise harrumph. I also finished Faina–I even fringed that baby. The Colinette project is stalled due to a Q on armhole shaping. This led to a call to the UK and the designer is on vaca til sometime this week.
Instead of Colinette project I have been knitting on Oberle’s Highland Triangle Shawl from Folk Shawls Book in some stash wool/silk yarn. Almost done with center triangle which is a miracle. Right after starting it I caught part of Hook on ABC Family and am all antsy to knit a shetland shawl. Wendy wears one throughtout the film. And that wretched MEM taunts me with her ‘devastating’ grey Gibbie. She doesn’t even share the shade number. Ooooooooooo. Of course I do not have a single hank/ball of shetland laceweight in the house. Never have. And how could this possibly be? All the lace I knit and no shetland!?! OK I do have the much lamented Lacis gossamer weight tho I suspect not enough for anything other than the meanest of scarves. Anyway I pick it up and think about shetland laceweight. Back to laundry and unpacking.
