Bad Blogger

Oi I have been a bad blogger lately. Just haven’t felt much like knitting but had tons to do. Here is the Colinette T called Billy done in their new yarn Silky Chic. Very soft and furry. Nice waist shaping. After the week long wait to see how to handle the raglan shaping I totally lost track and had to reknit the back. And seam. Why? There is no earthly reason to knit this in pieces. Yah I told them that but nicely. Really it makes no sense. Its near impossible to see your sts much less column of stitches to sew a seam.

So what is it with those English? Not to peeve off any UK readers but really. I recall reading somewhere that those English just don’t like knitting stuff in the round. Well maybe the knitters don’t mind but the designers and publishers have a problem. Let’s see…. hmmmmm. OK so you are a new knitter and have decided to graduate from garter stitch scarves in furry, glitzy yarn to a woo hoo sweater. This would be a perfect first sweater if knit in the round. You avoid the difficult finishing and purling. I personally enjoy purling but I have met knitters who have never purled a stitch in their lives.

Oh I am feeling rantalicious just thinking of seaming a st st sweater in furry yarn so will clock off. Have a great yarny day.
