Oi Vey what can I say? Wednesday was one of those meet the teacher jobbies at the girls school. 2 hrs. This woulda been OK except that Aunt Carol and Grams babysat the girls. Come Thursday I could not for the life of me find my sock. I spent the entire day looking only to find it where I left it–on the futon. Why hadn’t I seen it? Cause somebody had rearranged the comforter I use to cover the futon, in a futile attempt to keep the cover clean, so that it was neat and tidy. During the process my sock got tucked under the cover instead of over it. Bah Humbug! I knit a few rounds to calm my nerves–amazing how even the teeniest bit of knitting relaxes one–and left the sock upstairs in a much less used room. But wait….wake up Friday morning and my needles are not in my sock. Worse I can only find 4 of the 5 needles. Where oh where did my needle go? Why in the cushion so that I could only find it after sitting on the darned thing after giving up the ghost, several hours later, and deciding I could knit with 4 needles instead of 5. Ouchie Mama! The sock saga is not done yet. I got to the toe shaping portion Friday [thats today] and get ready to transfer my top of foot sts onto a string. WHERE is my little brown leather coach cosmetics bag that I use for knitting notions? Nowhere thats where. And where should my chibis be? The missing pouch. Stay tuned for more exciting adventures in sock land. And hopefully a finished sock on Monday.
