Did you know there are nutz out there into CEDs? For those not as ancient as I a CED was a precurser to a VCR or, in my mind, a DVD. DVD cause it was record sized and shaped but VCR cause it came in a case that one would feed into the player. You didn’t have to feed it you could sully the disk with your hands. It was the big thing in the 70’s-80’s and my dad had one. I have been thinking about this because next week the Star Wars trilogy comes out on DVD. For many many many years I have been telling people that Star Wars began with Luke Skywalker whizzing down a narrow corridor in his little flying thingie and target shooting. People tell me I am nutz and after seeing many different versions of the movie I almost believe them. Except that the scene just happens to be at beginning of the CED version[after the big ol battle in space] and referred to later when Luke tells a fellow pilot something like ‘its not impossible its just like shooting whatevers…. I did it all the time at home…’ Anybody remember that? Sure everybody remembers that part cause its in every version of the movie but not the first scene to which it refers. Anyway I am looking forward to seeing if I will be vindicated in the DVD version or will remain a big ol loonie who thinks the intro to Luke coming out of his hover crafty thing and looking up at sky is missing something.
